Tips & Tricks

The essence of our value focus to accelerate lies in prioritizing efficiency in performing our tasks. To attain the most favorable outcomes, it is crucial that we approach our responsibilities swiftly, intelligently, and with unwavering focus. Here are some tips & tricks on how to enhance this in the future. Do you have your own valuable tip related to working efficiently? Send it to us via marketing@cordeel.eu

Start the day with some exercise

Physical activity is important for the brain. People who exercise regularly can concentrate better. One of the most important things you can do for your brain and your overall health is to start exercising every morning. This does not necessarily have to be in the gym or by running for an hour. 20 minutes of exercise is enough.

Eat that frog

The goal of Mark Twain with this quote was to make people realize that if they start their day by eating a live frog, they are probably already past the worst of it. This tip is very effective for getting more focus. When we keep putting off that one difficult, challenging, important, or simply terrible task all day, we cannot focus during the day. There is constantly that little voice in our head that distracts us from other tasks, and what's more, we can enjoy it less.

Work in shorts blocks of 30 minutes

The Pomodoro technique is a well-known technique that is very effective when you really need to get things done. It involves always working in 30-minute blocks and taking a slightly longer break after 2 hours. This is said to be brain-technically the most effective way to have more focus. This way, your brain stays sharp and you get less tired.

Check your emails at fixed times

If you receive a lot of e-mails, it is useful to schedule 1, 2 or 3 fixed moments a day to check your e-mail. This way, you will not be distracted by incoming e-mails. It is also a good idea to turn off notifications on your computer so you don't get the urge to check your e-mails in between.

Multitasking doesn’t work

Research shows that only 2 % in our society can multitask efficiently. Another study shows that multitasking simply does not work. Performing several tasks at the same time brings more distractions, less quality and a less efficient use of time. Moreover, this is hugely stressful on your brain, which is already massively overstimulated. Schedule focus time to work on a particular task and allow yourself to be distracted as little as possible in the process.

Give your brain enough rest at night

During sleep, your brain processes all the information you have acquired that day. If you sleep too little, your brain does not have enough time to process all the information. In addition, a lack of sleep makes you impatient and irritable.
